ProAcitve’s Go Slim Body Shaping Protein Drink range has been formulated for women and men who want to achieve a slim and toned body. It is excellent as a pre and post workout snack as well as a balanced everyday snack.It has been designed to provide an adequate balance of beneficial nutrients, aid fat loss and promote muscle development when used in conjunction with exercise and a healthy diet.
The range contains no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives, is gluten free and contains high quality New Zealand Whey Protein Concentrate.Each Go Slim Body Shaping Protein drink contains less than 100 calories per serve, is low fat, sugar, and sodium, as well as being a good source of calcium and protein. Added extras include L carnitine, Super Citrimax, Prebiotic/Probiotics and 21 essential vitamins and minerals.

Protein
Go Slim is a good source of protein. One serve contains 16 grams of protein in the form of New Zealand Whey Protein Concentrate and Soy Protein Isolate.  Whey Protein is a nutritionally complete protein which contains all the essential amino acids. WPC contains adequate amounts of leucine, an amino acid responsible for muscle growth and cell repair.

Soy protein is rich in antioxidants and contains substantial amounts of the amino acids arginine and histidine which support the immune system
Protein is necessary after exercise to help with lean muscle repair and development, satiety and providing a more toned and shapely body.
Proactive has tried to provide a good balance of the proteins for maximum consumer benefits while maintaining palatability.

Carbohydrate
One serve of Go Slim contains less than 5 grams of carbohydrate.  This provides both high and low GI energy, aids protein absorption and provides dietary fibre for a healthy digestive tract. Go Slim is low in sugar. Go Slim has not been GI tested.

Fats
Go Slim is low in fat. The main ingredients which contribute to the fat content are soy protein isolate, instant whey protein concentrate and instant skim milk powder
Super Citrimax®

SuperCitrimax® is a patented, natural fruit extract from Garcinia cambogia. It contains Hydroxy Citric Acid (HCA) which has been clinically shown to provide satiety, suppress appetite and inhibit fat production, without stimulating the central nervous system.

L-Carnitine
L Carnitine is an amino acid, naturally present in the body; it is responsible for maintaining energy metabolism in the cells.  It aids in the transfer of fats to the mitochondria (powerhouse of cells) where it is converted to energy.
 
Chromium Picolinate
This trace element is thought to increase the efficiency of the hormone insulin, which is involved in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism.  It helps to build lean muscle mass and reduce stores of body fat. 

Natural Sweetener
Go Slim uses a natural plant extract from Luo Han Guo fruit (Siraitia grosvenorii) as a source of sweetness. The fruit was traditionally used in Chinese medicine for the treatment of many ailments. The mogrosides (the active constituents of the fruit) have been extracted and used as a high intensity, low calorie sweetener.

Prebiotics/ Fibre
Prebiotic fibre in the form of inulin has been added and helps to maintain a healthy digestive tract. Inulin works by acting as a food source for beneficial bacteria and is not broken down in the gastrointestinal tract. Inulin is also low GI and promotes mineral absorption in bones.

Probiotics
These are added in the form of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis. Probiotics are added to Go Slim to regulate gastrointestinal function. Probiotics contribute to balancing gastro intestinal microflora for the increased absorption of nutrients. We have chosen the particular forms of acidophilus and bifidus due to their long term stability in powdered goods. The cultures have also been well researched and provide several health benefits to the consumer.

21 vitamins and minerals have been specially chosen, including calcium, which have various functions in the body.
