Kelp is a sea vegetable that contains concentrated levels of iodine, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron. Iodine assists in the production of thyroid hormones, which are necessary for maintaining normal metabolism in all cells of the body.

INGREDIENT INFORMATION:
Kelp

 A large brown seaweed algae species called Laminaria.
When certain soils are deficient in iodine, so that food grown on them is lacking in this mineral; and when iodised salt is not used, then the mineral iodine may become deficient in the diet. Iodine deficiency can cause low thyroid function and goitre (a swelling of the thyroid gland).
Kelp supplies iodine which is required by the thyroid gland to synthesise the metabolic stimulating hormone thyroxine, necessary for healthy energy levels, balanced weight, fluid balance, a strong immune system, and general good health.
Alginates (compounds found in kelp) have a great water absorbing capacity and are useful as a bulking laxative to help prevent constipation
