Competitive bodybuilding is all about presenting the total package on stage. APPLICATION HINTS: 

Dream Tan Instant Skin Colour is very easy to use.  Follow these simple tips and you will be looking your best for your next comp. 

1. On the morning of your competition, after you have applied the final base coat of Dream Tan Self Tanning Spray grab a mate who does mind having brown hands (I recommend that you don’t use gloves – they get in the way and can leave you with a ‘textured’ finish).   Take a generous amount of Dream Tan. Starting from the shoulders and working down the body massaging it deep into the shin.  Complete one section at a time then slap- yes I kid you not –slap the body with the palm of the hand.  This will help blend and set the tan and also bring up a shine.
2. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FACE – you will look like an ‘Ompa Lompa’ from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!  Instead mix Dream Tan Instant Skin with moisturiser to a ratio of about 1:3.  Your face should be about 2-3 shades lighter and your body.  For you ladies who know a bit more about make-up – a good dark foundation, again about 2-3 shades lighter than your body.
3. Next step is to spray yourself with hairspray – you don’t need a top salon quality spray, but something for ‘strong firm hold’.  Spay over the entire body and allow to dry – this will ‘set’ the tan and help prevent it from rubbing off.
4. Once fully dry, dress and warm dark clothing.  Remember no tight waistbands – you will be left with train tracks over your midsection – not a good look!

HINTS ON TAN REMOVAL

I have a couple of mates who are seasoned competitors and swear by the following method to remove your tan after your comp.  

1. BEFORE you hit the shower smother yourself in baby oil.  Don’t hold back – it is cheap stuff so really slap it on and rub deep into the skin.  Take an old towel and rub off.  The majority of the tan (both top and base coats) will come off by doing this, and you will not be left with blotchy skin of various colours.
2. Hit the shower and have good scrub.  Any remaining tan will gradually fade over the following week.
