| Q. Is Creatine like a growth hormone, and does it advance muscle building? |

A. Creatine is second only to Protein Powder in terms of its use by athletes and bodybuilders wanting to increase their strength, recover faster from exercise, and enhance muscle volume and size.
There are literally millions of articles about Creatine on the internet, just use to Google to search for information about Creatine. It absolutely positively, will help you with your training goals if they include the above.
Creatine is a not a steroid or growth hormone, what it does is increase the level of ATP in your muscles which is sort of like a muscle energy store. This helps your muscles work harder, leading to greater gains in the gym and consequently larger muscle size. Its NOT just a cell volumizer, it really does help increase your strength. |

| Q. Why is it good to take this on an empty stomach? And can you still drink heaps of water at the gym having just taken a load of this before hand? |

| A. Hi there, absolutely.. creatine is best absorbed on an empty stomach but this doesnt include water. You should be drinking alot more water when taking creatine, say a litre extra per day. |

| Q. How much should I take on days that Im not at the gym, and when should I take it? |

A. Hi there, well there are many schools of thought and when and how much creatine to take on any given day, taking into consideration whether its a training day, and then whether you are lifting weights or doing aerobic activity. The best advise I can give is to throughly research creatine on the internet on the many excellent sites and resources that exist, and come to a conclusion that is suitable for your situation. But if you want my opinion, I would take this product 45 minutes before the workout, and also immediately after, and then 30 minutes later (after the creatine) take my usual protein shake.
I would still take creatine on non training days but not the maximum serve, maybe 50-75% of ther serve. But others would just take the maximum dose every day during the course of the product, and they would probably get better results.
Personally, I like to have a few drinks on the weekend if I go out. And I dont like taking creatine on a Friday or Saturday night if I know I might be drinking. It does tend to dehydrate the body a little bit, which doesnt make for a wonderful Saturday morning! Thats just me - others will be different. |

| Q. How does taking creatine effect the liver etc if drinking a large amount of alcohol on the weekends? |

| A. I would definitely say that creatine does not mix well with large amounts of alcohol intake. This is for several reasons, the most obvious one is that creatine can dehydrate the body as alcohol does. There have been no studies done on this though, so I cant really point you in the right direction except to suggest that you try to mitigate alcohol use when using creatine, or skip your dose of creatine on Friday or Saturday night for example. |

It concludes that creatine actually results in less water loss! I wouldnt be concerned about this, but in any case if you are trying to put on muscle drinking more water is a good idea. There is no need to go overboard, but drinking at least 1-1.5 litres of water a day is just plain sensible. |

| A. You can, however its not neccesary, in fact some argue loading phase is not required for any creatine monohydrate use! |

| Q. Hey, I am 16 years old and am currently training to get into the 1st XV rugby team and I am wanting to take Creatine to help with my fitness. Am I to young to take Creatine? |

| A. Jump on a protein powder to start with, this will increase your calorie intake which in turn provides you with more nutrients with which to grow and see how you go. |

Q. Hi, I've just purchased this product and it recommends usage on an "empty stomach" 30mins before exercise. Does "empty stomach" mean literally empty or am I able to have a meal about an hour before exercise, and take the creatine 30mins prior exercise?

| A. You could eat about and hour and half before taking it, that would be a more 'empty' stomach.. |

| Q. My son is 16 and wants to start taking creatine caps to hel him gain weight and muscle he worksout 3-4 times per week he is 6ft 2" and weighs around 91/2 stone is it safe for him to take them and how much should he take thanks? |

| A. I would start off with a protein powder and go from there. Creatine is probably best used a little later, and look for a good quality one - NFS Kre-Alkalyn is my fav |
